Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Mountain View Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients in our Child and Adolescent Care, Adult Acute Care Unit, and Residential Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nursing Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Medication Administration: Safely prepare, administer, and monitor the effects of medications.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Leadership: Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed, providing guidance and support to other nursing staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with a diploma or associate degree in nursing.
  • License: Current status as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.
  • Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of normal growth and development, as well as behavioral and chemical dependency issues throughout the lifespan.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy lifting, pulling, and reaching above shoulder level, as well as process and respond to written and verbal instructions.
