We are seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Total Respiratory & Rehab. As a Respiratory Therapist - Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs for equipment and selecting, instructing, and troubleshooting appropriate equipment and services to meet those needs.

Total Respiratory & Rehab is a fast-growing Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company that provides a wide variety of respiratory equipment, including CPAPs/BiPAPs, oxygen concentrators, and other respiratory equipment. • Train and assist with overall daily operations of Respiratory Therapy, including vents, intake, coverage, and quality assurance at existing and new locations.
• Receive and document orders for equipment and/or services from referral sources, physicians, patients, family members, or caregivers.
• Collect additional information and/or authorization as needed.
• Assess patient needs and select the best choice of equipment and/or services to meet those needs.
• Instruct patients in the proper use and care of equipment according to written policies and procedures.
• Communicate with patients' physicians on changes in patient condition and/or needs and carry out adjustments to the patient's Plan of Care/Treatment.
• Rotate to various branches to support the business and patients, as business needs dictate.
• Track and maintain follow-up on preventative maintenance and schedule visits for respiratory therapy equipment assigned to clients.
• Assist with scheduled visits of clients receiving oxygen therapy as needed.
• Complete patient accounts paperwork, including Plan of Care/Home assessments.
• Act as a liaison between the company and patients, family members, caregivers, physicians, and other healthcare agencies and staff on the case.
• Conduct, participate, and attend educational meetings and seminars for healthcare workers, patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and interested community members on areas of need.
• Assist with arrangement of necessary referrals to community agencies or for those traveling, to assist in continuity of care.
• Develop and implement discharge plans for agency patients.
• Assume full responsibility for actions, professional skills, and attitudes.
• Support the organization by being loyal and informing the branch manager of areas of concern and problems to be resolved.
• Keep cognizant of third-party reimbursement, criteria services, billing, patient paperwork, and equipment offered.
• Must be willing to work after normal business hours and on weekends.
• Oversee all clinical functions performed by the company.
• Perform all job functions with Company Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements in mind.
• Flexible attitude and willingness to take on extra tasks as necessary.

• High degree of integrity.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Respiratory care experience and/or home care experience in the field of respiratory care.
• Thorough knowledge and skills related to Home Medical Equipment field.
• Ability to effectively manage all respiratory products provided by the company.
• Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people resulting in constructive working relationships.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, customer service, and time management skills.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
