Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Accurately record daily financial transactions, ensuring all purchases, sales, receipts, and payments are documented correctly.
  • Ledger Management: Ensure transactions are properly recorded in day books, suppliers ledgers, customer ledgers, and general ledgers.
  • Trial Balance: Prepare books to the trial balance stage and perform partial checks to verify accuracy.
  • Tax Compliance: Complete and file tax forms in adherence to applicable regulations.
  • Reporting: Enter data, maintain records, and generate detailed financial reports and statements as needed.
  • Accounts Management: Efficiently manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Payroll Processing: Handle all payroll functions, including wage calculation, payroll deductions, and timely payment to employees. Proficiency with ADP payroll systems is a key requirement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting team to analyze financial reports and ensure legal compliance.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality and security of all financial information.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with a mandatory background in restaurant bookkeeping. Familiarity with ADP payroll systems is essential.
  • Skills: Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, with expertise in accounts payable/receivable. Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software, particularly those used in the restaurant industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred; an Associate degree in a related field is required.
  • Language: Proficiency in English and MS Office applications.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated customer service orientation with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability: Must be available for full-time work and able to reliably commute or relocate to the company's location.
