Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively support all Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct tests on various equipment types.
  • Perform minor repairs to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Evaluate design specifications against actual production outputs.
  • Familiarize yourself with construction techniques and processes utilized at SURGE Staffing.
  • Utilize Quality Management System data to target enhancements in products and processes, aiming to boost customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and enhance electronic information through the Quality Management System intranet, including Standard Operating Procedures, videos, and web-based resources.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
  • Execute daily audits across all plant areas.
  • Take a leadership role in Lean initiatives, including the creation of training and communication materials.
  • Facilitate Major and Minor kaizen events and mentor colleagues in leading their own initiatives.
  • Conduct 5S and Safety audits, devising programs to enhance safety performance.
  • Drive sustainable improvements in both manufacturing and administrative processes.
  • Exhibit strong communication capabilities.
  • Assist in the effective use of technology within the Quality Management System.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required during production periods.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in various manufacturing processes within a production setting.
  • Ability to work independently while executing clearly defined corporate strategies and objectives.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment; results and operational effectiveness are subject to supervisor review.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic; capable of clear written communication; able to comprehend verbal and written instructions; familiar with PC applications, including JD Edwards, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
  • Physical requirements include walking/standing approximately 70% of the time, lifting up to 40 pounds about 15% of the time, and performing repetitive overhead tasks about 10% of the time.
