The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the assessment of patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans in collaboration with registered nurses, physicians, and correctional officers
- Administer medications and interventions as directed by providers
- Document patient encounters, responses, and effectiveness of care
- Participate in maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Current, unrestricted State Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License
- Current CPR Certification
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred
