We are seeking a highly experienced Project Superintendent to join our team at W.E. O'Neil Construction. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all field activities on a project, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining the highest level of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Project Oversight: Provide full-time day-to-day supervision on site, coordinating all work of subcontractors and our own teams.
- Schedule Management: Create and monitor the project CPM schedule, using it as a tool to manage the project, determine the sequencing of work activities, and manage subcontractors to follow the sequence.
- Quality Control: Monitor trade work to ensure it meets the requirements of the drawings and specifications.
- Safety Management: Manage the jobsite safety program, including safety walk-throughs, and make field crews accountable for adherence to the safety program.
- Communication: Conduct weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and manage subcontractors to ensure that the full scope of work is completed per their contract.
- Financial Management: Understand the project budget and ensure accurate cost coding and management of labor and material costs.
- Project Closeout: Maintain a daily log of project activities and close out the project, including punch-list, finalization of subcontract values, assistance in the negotiation of final owner change orders, building commissioning, etc.
- Experience: A minimum number of years of total experience based on project size, as a superintendent, having managed projects of comparable sizes.
- Background: Experience should be in large commercial construction projects.
- Skills: Basic computer skills are necessary (Windows, Excel, P6, MS Project, SureTrak, Word, etc.).
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage with business partners and team members in a constructive, productive way to overcome obstacles and achieve results.
The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000 annual. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits, which can impact total compensation. Actual compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, trainings/certifications, market forces, etc.
