Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Autonomous Systems Engineer to join our North America Systems Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in innovating, developing, and managing advanced AD/ADAS systems that prioritize safety, meet client needs, and drive Woven by Toyota's product development forward.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product, technical program management, software, and hardware engineering, to analyze system behavior and develop features for AD/ADAS systems.
  • Develop system-level vehicle requirements and decompose them into lower-level subsystems, such as sensors, human-machine interfaces, and compute.
  • Establish system latency budgets based on scenario analysis and work across disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
  • Generate evaluation systems to assess system performance against product-level Key Performance Indicators.
  • Perform functional safety analysis and define execution of systems verification and validation testing at the vehicle level.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of professional experience in complex system development, preferably in safety-critical applications.
  • Master's degree in mechanical, electrical, computer engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Experience developing complex systems combining remote sensing technology, artificial intelligence, and controls.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering analysis, trade studies, and requirement derivation, tracking, and verification.
  • Experience with AD/ADAS international regulations and systems integration, vehicle testing, functional safety, and vehicle launch.
  • Software coding skills in MATLAB, Python, or C/C++.
