Job Overview

Dakota Traffic Services, LLC is a leading provider of traffic control and pavement marking services. Our company operates in the Midwest region, with a strong presence in South Dakota and Northwestern Iowa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a crew to install thermoplastic, paint, and other pavement marking materials.
  • Prepare pavement surfaces for paint, epoxy, tape, or thermoplastic applications.
  • Apply long lines (highway/roadways) and short lines (stencils and parking lots) using various marking materials.
  • Lift, carry, load, and unload construction items, including pavement marking supplies, safety cones, stencils, and other equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and quality guidelines, while maximizing production efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License Required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Preferred.
  • Previous experience in pavement marking and/or traffic control is highly desirable.
  • Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Must pass a background check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, and pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and management.
