US Oncology, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinic Registered Nurse. This is a full-time position that will support our Longview location, working Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with no weekends, call, or major holidays.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients, adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.
- Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding their current status and medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care, including managing patient medication refill requests and scheduling consultations and appointments.
- Triages patient phone calls and documents relevant information in the patient's chart.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate services related to patient care.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 0-3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.
