Job Summary

As a Senior Cardiac Technologist at Memorial Hermann Health System, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team. We are seeking an experienced and skilled technologist to join our team as a Lead Non-Invasive Cardiac Technician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Electrocardiograms, Holter monitoring, Holter scanning, and Stress Testing according to physician orders.
  • Provide designated support to department leadership and serve as a resource/mentor to staff and less experienced technologists.
  • Manage multi-patient task lists, prioritize appropriately, and maintain patient flow to ensure delivery of quality services within the department.
  • Handle situations that require expertise, leadership, and problem-solving, and respond to Code Blue calls as part of the resuscitation team.
  • Prepare and present ECG tracings to physicians for interpretation, review ECG tracing, and alert proper medical personnel of patients with serious arrhythmias.
  • Act as a designated resource and mentor to staff and less experienced technologists, introduce and demonstrate new techniques, and responsible for orientation/mentoring for new hires or education for students.
  • Maintain safety, environmental, and infection control procedures for the department, and participate in performance improvement activities established by the department.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Allied Health Sciences or the equivalent combination of training and experience as a Cardiology Technician and completion of the Basic Arrhythmia Course.
  • Certified by the American Hospital Association in BCLS.
  • Four (4) years of experience performing Electrocardiograms (ECG), Holter monitoring, Holter scanning, and related Cardiac Stress Testing procedures.
