Job Title: Trauma Physician Assistant

Adventist Health Medical Group is seeking a skilled Trauma Physician Assistant to join our team in Yuba City, CA. As a Trauma Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to critically injured patients in our Emergency Department and Acute Care Surgery.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the trauma team to provide comprehensive care to trauma patients.
  • Perform initial assessments and triage patients based on the severity of their injuries.
  • Assist in resuscitation efforts, including airway management, vascular access, and administration of medications.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic tests to determine the extent of injuries.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results and communicate findings to the supervising physician.
  • Assist in performing life-saving procedures and surgeries, such as chest tube placement, central line insertion, and wound management.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and provide necessary interventions to stabilize their condition.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant for California.
  • DEA/NPI.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a trauma or surgery setting.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma assessment and management protocols.
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.

Compensation:

$150,000 - $180,000 per year.
