Fiesta Mart LLC is seeking a skilled Deli Clerk to join our team. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing and displaying deli products in a neat and organized manner, ensuring that all products are fresh and well-stocked for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and display deli products in a neat and organized manner.
• Ensure that all products are fresh and well-stocked for our customers.
• Process cash register transactions, including giving back change or refunds.
• Stock and replenish product in display cases and counters.
• Check in newly received merchandise and stock and organize back stock in cooler or designated area.
• Slice, weigh, wrap, and price customer selections using slicers, weigh scales, wrapping machine, and label machine.
• Ensure weights and pricing are correct, using scale printer machines.
• Prepare hot and cold foods sold to public, including items like fried chicken and other foods, roasted chickens, salads prepared on premise, sandwiches, and meal items for hot cases and steam tables.
• Clean and maintain work area, including washing dishes and equipment.
• Orally communicate with customers and co-workers, dealing with multiple customers professionally and offering product suggestions.
• Answer phone calls and take customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction.
• Prepare party trays according to customer request.
• Know product identification and stock locations, reorganizing product to maintain display appearances.
• Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement through the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage.
• Prepare, wrap, box, weigh, slice, and stock deli department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure product quality and safety.
• Work safely around equipment and tools, including slicers, knives, hot ovens, and burners.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
