Cleveland Clinic's Heart Center is a world-renowned leader in cardiovascular care, and we are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and be able to provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation to patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

Responsibilities will include directing respiratory caregivers for delivery of care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, assessing patients for the appropriate type and frequency of treatment, and developing, implementing, and monitoring patient care plans.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring, recording, and communicating patients' conditions, performing advanced respiratory care modalities, evaluating respiratory practice, administering medications and treatments, and performing blood gas puncture and analysis.

Additionally, the Respiratory Therapist will educate patients and families about the illness and provide information about community support groups and other programs.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal candidate include a graduate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care, Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board Licensure, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care, a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification.
