Role Responsibilities:

As a Precision Machining Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to manufacture precision components and instruments. This role may also involve fabricating, modifying, or repairing mechanical instruments, as well as creating and adjusting parts for machine tools or maintaining industrial machinery. Your expertise in mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures will be essential.

Work Schedule:

Weekend A shift: Thursday-Sunday 4AM-4PM for week 1, Friday-Sunday 4AM-4PM for week 2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Operate basic machinery and perform routine tasks effectively.

  • Operational Management: Execute operational tasks by adhering to established protocols.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep and repair of equipment through preparation and support.

  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Comply with mandatory work instructions to protect the environment and ensure personal and team safety.

  • Compliance: Follow mandatory procedures to guarantee work meets required quality standards and adheres to regulatory codes and internal conduct guidelines.

  • Communication: Engage in courteous interactions to exchange information effectively.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a machining role within a manufacturing or repair setting, proficient in operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills.

  • Precision Measurement: Skilled in interpreting and utilizing precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Capable of reading and understanding blueprints and geometric tolerances.

  • Policy Adherence: Ability to work with guidance to comprehend policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Preferred Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Experience with Mazak 5-axis machinery.

  • Communication Skills: Demonstrates clear and effective verbal communication to convey ideas and request actions.

  • Planning and Organization: Works with guidance to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to achieve business objectives efficiently.

  • Health and Safety Awareness: Applies fundamental concepts to manage and implement safe work practices.
