Job Description

The Civil Design Engineer will play a crucial role in the design of land development projects, including grading, drainage analysis, street design, and water distribution systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Transforming initial design information into working construction documents using AutoCAD.
  • Establishing horizontal and vertical alignments, profiles, and cross sections, and performing earthwork calculations.
  • Preparing engineering drawings to specified standards and designing basic construction documents.
  • Utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D in preparation of plans for drainage, precise grading, water, sewer, storm drain, street improvements, and site planning for land development projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A B.S. in Civil Engineering with 1-3 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Current California land development and design experience.
  • Proficiency in computer design programs AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Hydrology-Hydraulics software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
