  • Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and examination results.
  • Communicate with patients to alleviate pre-testing anxiety by explaining examination procedures in clear, concise terms.
  • Perform various x-ray exams according to established standards and procedures.
  • Position patients for radiographs according to departmental standard operating procedures.
  • Recognize and report patient motor abnormalities, such as fainting or discoloration, to the Radiologist.
  • Operate equipment for transferring computed images to film and archival of disc memory to tape.
  • Ensure images are properly marked with 'right' or 'left' side indicators and legibly labeled with correct date and patient identification.
  • Enter patient history data and other relevant information obtained from requisitions.
  • Arrange, attach, or adjust immobilization and supportive devices for patients as needed.
Qualifications
  • Vocational or Technical school Diploma required.
  • Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State and Current ARRT Radiology registration required.
  • 1-3 years of technical experience required.
  • Current License to practice as a Certified Radiology Contrast IV Injection practitioner in New York State required.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $48.03-$58.8/hour.
