Hematology Oncology Care Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Care Team Associate to join our Hematology Oncology team at OU Health. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to our patients with blood cancers.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor patients' health status and implement the plan of care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders as directed by the RN.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressures, temperatures, pulse, and weights.
- Perform blood glucose monitoring and other laboratory tests as required.
- Monitor intravenous infusions and transfusions as directed by the RN.
- Set up and discontinue telemetry monitors.
- Collect specimens as directed.
- Apply sterile dressings, remove sutures, staples, and/or drains, and perform other sterile procedures as assigned.
- Assist with patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Report symptoms and significant changes in patients' condition or behavior to the RN.
- Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer process.
- Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and orderly patient environment.
- Six (6) months experience in a healthcare setting or completion of a health-related vocational education course or completion of the first semester of clinical education in an associate or bachelor's degree program from a healthcare discipline.
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and oral instructions.
