CNC Mill Machinist Job Description

Loc Performance Products, LLC is a leading provider of complex mechanical products, fabricated structures, and systems. We offer a range of services, from design to prototype manufacturing, testing, production launch, and product service and sustainment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machining centers to perform machine functions such as boring, facing, and threading parts of metallic workpieces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit programs on CNC machines, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
  • Assist in setting-up CNC machines by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards.
  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least three years of CNC Machining experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
