Job Overview
As a vital member of the Shorehaven team, the individual in this role will be responsible for ensuring that food is served and handled in accordance with established policies and local health regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain consistent and regular attendance.
  • Procure food and necessary supplies for the work area.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of the tray line, including loading and delivering food carts.
  • Support culinary staff with assigned tasks.
  • Ensure timely and efficient meal preparation.
  • Regularly inspect the work area to uphold safety and sanitation standards, reporting any maintenance needs to the supervisor.
  • Oversee cafeteria service and manage cash register accountability.
  • Perform dishwashing duties as required.
  • Work shifts that may vary.
Additional Duties
  • Engage with guests and respond to various situations with professionalism and composure.
  • Execute a range of tasks following established procedures.
  • Handle diverse assignments under pressure with frequent interruptions.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training programs.

Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Basic manual dexterity for operating food service equipment.
  • Capability to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel to access supplies.
  • Frequent walking and standing, with the ability to twist, bend, and reach.
  • Hand-eye coordination and dexterity for safe food preparation.
  • Visual acuity for identifying residents and reading documents.
  • Ability to hear and distinguish sounds in a noisy environment.
  • Focus on detailed tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Memory capacity for remembering tasks over varying timeframes.
Job Type: Part-time
Compensation: Starting at $12.00 per hour
