About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate dentist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Corrections. As a dental care specialist, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch dental care to our inmate population with professionalism and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily work of the institution's dental staff
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the clinical dental services provided to the inmate population
  • Provide basic dental care and perform all dental treatment
  • Assist specialists in the performance of treatment and related duties while on-site
  • Consult with and refer inmate patients to physicians, oral surgeons, and other health care professionals

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Full-time employment with a 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday work schedule

Eligible for full retirement benefits as early as age 55

Competitive salary with potential for yearly incentive payments

Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved school of dentistry
  • Possession of a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry
  • Ability to perform essential job functions
