Job Title: Truck Driver OTR

At Brenntag, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver OTR to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for transporting freight in a safe, orderly, and timely manner, ensuring the timely and accurate pick-up and delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport freight in a safe and timely manner, adhering to scheduled delivery/pickup appointments.
  • Notify the Transportation Department of any delays or problems that may affect customer service.
  • Ensure the pick-up and delivery of correct products and quantities in good condition.
  • Follow Federal DOT regulations for road safety and ELD requirements.
  • Inspect and assure the safety of equipment operated.
  • Complete and turn in vehicle condition reports and trailer inspection sheets.
  • Report equipment damage to the Driver Manager and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Complete the JM Swank. Transport, Inc. weekly packet and turn it in at the end of every day.
  • Attend all drivers' meetings and training as scheduled.
  • Ensure all appropriate Permit packets and Accident kits material are kept up to date in the truck.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Preferably two years of verifiable over-the-road driving experience.
  • Completion of truck driving school desirable.
  • Meet physical requirements.
  • Pass DOT physical.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of safely climbing into and out of both a semi-tractor and trailer using the three points of contact rule.
