Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Multidisciplinary Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating in multiple modalities within our Imaging department, producing accurate diagnostic examinations, and performing a variety of technical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Demonstrate competency in a variety of diagnostic procedures in more than one modality.
  • Program the computer to ensure completion of exams and store scan data correctly on optical discs for future reference.
  • Coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday to maintain high patient care and continuity.
  • Ensure accurate coding and entry of charges in the billing system.
  • Demonstrate competence with all age-specific groups to ensure proper completion of studies.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards outlined by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Demonstrate adherence to the Core values of CHRISTUS Health.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent.
  • ARRT, RT (R), or other qualified Registries per scope of practice.
  • Registered or Registry-eligible in secondary modality and complete requirements to become registered within two years of performing the secondary modality.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • Three years' experience in a clinical Imaging setting is highly preferred.
  • Registered by the (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current state Licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
