About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Controls Technician to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for commissioning, programming, and testing HVAC systems, as well as troubleshooting and servicing equipment on assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission, program, and test HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and service equipment on assigned projects, identifying and diagnosing issues to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation, and job close-out requirements
  • Represent the company as the direct customer contact, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction
  • Coordinate with team leaders and customers to understand project requirements and ensure successful on-site installation and repairs
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school
  • At least 7 years of experience in HVAC/Controls, with technical school or formal training preferred
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphones, iPads)
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations
  • Previous experience with DDC controls systems preferred
Working Conditions

This position requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. (may occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 lbs. with special approval.)
