Job Opportunity: Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management

The University of Alabama School of Social Work seeks a visionary leader to serve as Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. This 12-month faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor (tenured) or Professor (tenured) will begin July 1, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Office for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, supporting students throughout their social work education.
  • Lead a team of advisors, recruiters, and academic program directors to ensure a seamless student experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student recruitment, retention, and success.
  • Mentor and support early career scholars and faculty members.
  • Secure external funding to support research and program initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Social Work or a closely related discipline.
  • At least three years of leadership experience in higher education or a related field.
  • Strong research program with a focus on community-engaged scholarship.
  • Excellent teaching and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
