Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Place materials/goods on racks, shelves, and bins or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequence.
  • Fulfill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
  • Use computer to enter records.
  • Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Drive vehicle to transport stored items or to pick up items.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing.
  • Maintain inventory records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
