Key Responsibilities- Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products in a timely and efficient manner.
- Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
- Place materials/goods on racks, shelves, and bins or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequence.
- Fulfill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
- Use computer to enter records.
- Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
- Drive vehicle to transport stored items or to pick up items.
- Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
- Prepare parcels for mailing.
- Maintain inventory records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
