Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Utility Locator to join our team at Blew & Associates. As a Utility Locator, you will be responsible for conducting field investigations to determine the locations of underground utilities using advanced equipment such as Electromagnetic Locators (EM) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field investigations on residential and commercial properties with varying terrain to determine the locations of underground utilities.
  • Operate Electromagnetic Locators (EM) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) equipment to gather data and record findings.
  • Develop and maintain detailed reports of investigations and findings.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Travel up to 2 weeks at a time to conduct investigations and gather data.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic Locators (EM) preferred.
  • Competency in common utility infrastructure and experience in construction, electrical, plumbing, and/or hydro-vac a plus.
  • Ability to operate survey-grade GPS systems and adapt to complex work environments.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
