Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Framer to join our team at Impact Housing, a dynamic developer of housing in Southern California. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for building, erecting, and installing forms, structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials.
About the Job:
- You will measure, mark, and arrange materials to established layouts based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
- Cut and shape structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall using various hand and power tools.
- Join materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive.
- Erect scaffolding, install windows and doors, and create wooden forms for pouring concrete or for tunnels, bridges, or sewer construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; correct problems as needed.
- Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
Requirements:
Requirements- Able to understand directions and read blueprints.
- Able to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
- Able to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
- Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
Compensation:
Estimated Salary: $21-$23 per hour depending on experience.
