Key Responsibilities- Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Curriculum Development: Assist in planning and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
- Child Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and research in early childhood education.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a educational setting.
- Certifications/Licenses: Valid certification in early childhood education or related field; CPR/First Aid certification required.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse populations; strong organizational and time management skills.
The Early Childhood Educator will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. The position involves frequent standing, walking, and lifting of children and materials. The employee may be exposed to childhood illnesses and must be able to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout the workday.
