About the Role:

The Lab Medical Assistant II plays a vital role in our healthcare team, responsible for collecting, receiving, and processing inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing. This position requires effective communication with nursing staff regarding patient specimens, as well as referring specimens to outside laboratories when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and processing inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
  • Communicating with nursing staff regarding patient specimens
  • Referring specimens to outside laboratories
  • Interacting with physicians, clients, and staff regarding referral lab tests
  • Performing phlebotomy procedures

Requirements:

  • 6 months of experience in phlebotomy, laboratory-related field, or related field
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Driver's License
