Volt is hiring a skilled Machinist/Toolmaker to support product development and application engineering projects. This is a first shift position. As a Machinist/Toolmaker, you will:
  • Operate manual and CNC machine tools to fabricate or modify metal, plastic, or rubber parts, tools, or fixtures.
  • Read and interpret design schematics, CAD drawings, and engineering specifications.
  • Design jigs and templates for part fabrication.
  • Assemble completed parts and evaluate their performance.
  • Inspect parts for conformance using measuring instruments.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability.

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or higher in a science or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • CNC and manual machining experience.
  • Effective communication skills within the technical community.

Preferred Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of metalwork and mechanical engineering.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to visualize structural components.
  • Strong math, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
