About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at Holtz Children's Hospital, a leading pediatric hospital in the southeast United States. As a Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical care to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and nurses with performing medical procedures, including examinations, minor surgical interventions, and resuscitation.
  • Perform technical procedures as delegated, including establishing IV access, performing ECGs, and vital signs/telemetry monitoring.
  • Document and communicate assessment findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to medical/nursing staff.
  • Use a systematic process to provide/modify care and patient/family education and support.
  • Prepare supplies and equipment and utilize specialized equipment as needed when providing patient care.
Requirements
  • Valid Florida Paramedic or EMT license is required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.
  • Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • High school diploma is required. Graduate of an Accredited Program in Emergency Medical Technician.
