Overview

Fresenius Medical Care, a leading provider of renal therapies, seeks an experienced Vascular Access Specialist to join our team. About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a skilled nurse with 4-6 years of experience in ambulatory surgical centers, vascular access, or cardiology. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care pre, during, and post-procedure, under the direction of the Facility Manager and/or Charge Registered Nurse.
  • Assist physicians during procedures, maintaining a sterile technique and adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Perform point-of-care laboratory testing, administer medications, and insert IVs as directed by physicians.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to address concerns and provide education on post-procedure care.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including monthly reports and meetings, to drive quality standards and patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, complete documentation, and ensure compliance with HIPAA policies.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
  • Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification required
  • 4-6 years' related experience in ambulatory surgical centers, vascular access, or cardiology
  • Proficient in IV insertion, cardiac rhythm recognition, and medical database software
