TAD PGS, INC. is seeking a skilled Assembler II to join our team in Middlefield, CT. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for assembling wires, cables, harnesses, and power supplies using soldering equipment, hand tools, and bench tools.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble electronic chassis, laser assemblies, and complex electro-mechanical equipment
- Perform intricate fitting and aligning on opto-mechanical sub-assemblies and mainframes
- Test and calibrate sub-assemblies and finished units
- Work with parts lists, drawings, wiring diagrams, and methods sheets
- Follow written and verbal procedures
- Maintain detailed records of work completed
- Maintain control of material in assigned work orders
- Initiate changes and corrections to documentation and methods
- Maintain work area and equipment in neat and orderly condition
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations
- Basic reading and writing skills
- 2-4 years electronic, mechanical, or optical assembly experience
- Ability to initiate changes to methods sheets, procedures, and specifications
- Ability to learn to troubleshoot optical-mechanical assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and assembly diagrams
The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, sitting, using hands or fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
