We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at UHC United Hospital Center. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist licensed anesthesia care providers in a variety of clinical settings, including the setup of IV manufacturer-made maintenance fluids, fluid warmers, and pressure transducers.
- Perform select Point of Care tests within the scope of your practice.
- Ensure basic anesthesia equipment is available in each anesthetic location, including emergency airway equipment.
- Assist with line placement and check for expiration dates on disposable supplies.
- Clean up hazardous spills and complete required incident documentation.
- Set up disposable supplies and assist with therapeutic pain management applications.
- Provide anesthesia support during emergency situations and routine case turnover.
- Anticipate anesthesia requirements for scheduled and emergent procedures and have equipment set up without requests from the MD/CRNA.
- Monitor the inventory of consumable supplies and ensure that the anesthesia carts are stocked and the anesthesia area is clean and uncluttered.
- Associate Degree from Anesthesiology Technology Program or equivalent.
- Current licensure in applicable discipline.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work with people.

Skills and Abilities- Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal, and work with people.
- Has a thorough understanding of cardiac monitor procedures and equipment.
- Has a thorough understanding of hemodynamic techniques.
- Ability to utilize manufacturer's instructions for use (IFUs) for equipment operation and cleaning.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform technical duties in complex, clinical situations.
This is a PRN 7-3 OR 11-7 position with a scheduled weekly hours of 4. The shift is varied, and the company is UHC United Hospital Center. The cost center is 242 UHC Anesthesia Provider Services, and the address is 327 Medical Park Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330.
