This role will play a crucial part in the design, development, and integration of our space payloads, ensuring their successful performance and integration within our spacecraft. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive our programs forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement optical payload design concepts from concept to launch
  • Lead and design environmental test campaigns to ensure payload reliability
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers for optical payload systems, ensuring timely delivery and quality
  • Perform hands-on lab assembly and testing to validate payload performance
Requirements
  • Must be eligible to hold a clearance
  • Deep expertise in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or embedded systems
  • Experience with optical systems and space systems
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and validate requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong background in developing optical space systems
  • Proven track record of leading payload development cycles
  • Understanding of optical, mechanical, and electrical design requirements for various orbits
