JP Workman Group is collaborating with a reputable and expanding credit union to find a Financial Risk Analyst to enhance their team. This is a newly established role due to organizational growth, and the selected candidate will report directly to the CEO.

Position Overview:

  • This role encompasses both data assessment and risk analysis.
  • Accountable for collecting and evaluating credit data on existing and prospective business clients.
  • Assesses the feasibility of extending credit for various types of commercial loans by advising on the Loan Risk Rating in accordance with the Loan Policy.
  • Responsible for gathering financial documentation and conducting annual loan assessments that include trend analysis.
  • Evaluates creditworthiness of self-employed individuals for the Mortgage Loan Division.
  • In charge of organizing and maintaining loan files.
  • Will undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of financial documents, including balance sheets, income statements, tax returns, and cash flow statements, along with a solid grasp of standard commercial loan types and structures.
  • Ability to assess credit information to identify loan risks effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting financial data and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks, adhering to deadlines, handling sensitive information, and resolving issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, with the ability to interact with various levels within the organization.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Laser Pro, with the capacity to learn additional software utilized by the credit union.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred.
