Salary


The hourly rate for this position is $19.75 per hour, providing a competitive compensation package that reflects the value of your skills and experience.



Job Description


As an After School Energy Site Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include:



  • Organizing and leading daily activities for children in grades K-5th
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of the weekly activity schedule
  • Developing positive supportive relationships with participants, parents, and other department staff
  • Preparing reports in support of assigned programs
  • Assisting in the preparation of information/promotional materials

These activities may include homework assistance, arts and crafts, group games/competitions, sports, and songs, all designed to promote engagement, creativity, and fun.



Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:



  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Applicants are subject to a position-relevant background check
  • One (1) year or more of experience working with children in recreation, teaching, or day camp environment
  • Knowledge of age-appropriate athletic and social activities, crafts, and other large group activities for children between 6-12 years old
  • Experience in supervising staff
  • Able to live by the City of Kent's mission of Dedicated to Enriching Lives and demonstrate characteristics such as responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, and thoughtful
