Position Overview
As a Senior Instrumentation Engineer at Solvenow Inc., you will be tasked with leading the engineering efforts on various projects, ensuring the successful execution of instrumentation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
To excel in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the primary discipline engineer on both single and multi-discipline projects.
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including team members, suppliers, and clients.
  • Generating specifications and essential project design documents, including instrument lists and I/O lists.
  • Specifying hardware and designing the installation of PLCs, Industrial Process Controllers, and associated peripherals.
  • Conducting basic field commissioning and start-up of process control systems.
  • Overseeing and reviewing the work of designers and engineers to ensure adherence to all standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Observing safety and security protocols, reporting unsafe conditions, and utilizing equipment and materials correctly.
  • Accepting additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in a relevant engineering or basic science field; a PE license is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in sectors such as Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers, Utility, Energy, and Manufacturing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems project design and implementation.
  • Ability to perform and verify sizing calculations for flow meters and control valves.
  • Experience with PLC specification, Operator Interface, and Process Automation Controllers; configuration knowledge is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, wiring schematic diagrams, and panel layout and detail drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel); familiarity with Revit and Autodesk CAD (3D preferred) software.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Willingness to undergo a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
  • Agreement to submit to a drug test post-offer.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Acceptance of potential domestic overnight travel, including occasional extended assignments.
