Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain power equipment to achieve required modes of operation
  • Perform preventative maintenance to optimize equipment reliability
  • Repair and troubleshoot malfunctioning electrical or instrumentation systems
  • Calibrate instruments and perform mechanical, preventive, and predictive maintenance
  • Maintain 5S standards and perform cleaning duties as required
  • Participate on the hazmat response team
Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Prior experience in a similar technician role with electrical background
  • Experience in maintenance pneumatics, electrical controls, and schematic reading
  • Basic knowledge of process equipment and operations
  • Dairy or food manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of government and industrial regulations (e.g. PSM, OSHA, and USDA)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Two years of experience with boiler/ammonia refrigeration
  • Associates or two-year degree in a maintenance-related field
  • Forklift/Scissor Lift certification
Work Environment:

The Power and Utilities Technician position is physically demanding and requires working in various environments, including wet/dry/cold/hot conditions, working in tight spaces, climbing steps and ladders, and lifting equipment parts that can weigh up to 70 Lbs.

Leprino Foods offers a competitive salary of $36 per hour, with an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am.
