Equipment Maintenance Specialist

In this pivotal role, you will lead the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of vehicles and construction equipment. The Virginia Department of Human Resource Management is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the upkeep of our vehicles, ensuring they are always in top condition for safe operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs using computerized databases
- Schedule preventative maintenance for vehicles and heavy equipment to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on complex mechanical issues
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with vehicles and equipment using specialized tools and techniques
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid state-issued driver's license
- A current Virginia State Vehicle Inspectors License
- Experience in all phases of automotive maintenance and repair, including diagnostic troubleshooting and technical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software packages and ability to learn new systems quickly
This position offers a competitive salary range of $48,162 - $75,131 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
