Job Overview

Foxconn Industrial Internet is in search of an Automation Specialist who will join our production team to support and maintain automated systems within a manufacturing setting. This role involves collaboration with various departments to meet operational objectives.

As a vital member of the team, you will engage in a diverse range of responsibilities within the Level 10 Department, providing you with the opportunity to utilize your critical thinking skills and advance your career in Smart Manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve common automation equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members to achieve departmental targets.
  • Comprehend production processes and address typical challenges encountered.
  • Enhance existing automation technologies through component upgrades and process improvements.
  • Install and repair electrical and mechanical components, including motors, switches, cylinders, and sensors.
  • Implement preventive maintenance protocols for all automation machinery, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in the assembly, installation, and modification of new machinery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Associate's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience with automation equipment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with network products (servers, switches) is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills related to automation.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with Engineers, Operators, and Production Supervisors.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
