Foxconn Industrial Internet is in search of an Automation Specialist who will join our production team to support and maintain automated systems within a manufacturing setting. This role involves collaboration with various departments to meet operational objectives.
As a vital member of the team, you will engage in a diverse range of responsibilities within the Level 10 Department, providing you with the opportunity to utilize your critical thinking skills and advance your career in Smart Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve common automation equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members to achieve departmental targets.
- Comprehend production processes and address typical challenges encountered.
- Enhance existing automation technologies through component upgrades and process improvements.
- Install and repair electrical and mechanical components, including motors, switches, cylinders, and sensors.
- Implement preventive maintenance protocols for all automation machinery, maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in the assembly, installation, and modification of new machinery.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- At least 1 year of experience with automation equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with network products (servers, switches) is advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills related to automation.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with Engineers, Operators, and Production Supervisors.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
