Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Records Nurse Specialist to join our team at ATCNORTHGA. As a Medical Records Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess healthcare needs of patients through routine assessments and develop individualized nursing and healthcare plans.
- Provide general care services, including assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collect and record data specific to health status of patients or clients.
- Administer medications/treatments as prescribed by medical practitioners.
- Provide health care instruction and education to individuals and others relating to the promotion of health and prevention or management of illness, disease, injury, or disabilities.
- Maintain confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility, and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Provide patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
Requirements:
- Current health provider CPR from the American Heart Association at the BLS level.
- Tuberculosis screening as required by the state or contract.
- Drug screening as required by the contract.
- Background screening as required by the state or contract.
