About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nuclear Reactors Engineer to join our team at the US Navy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and operating nuclear reactors and power plants that drive the most advanced fleet of submarines and aircraft carriers on Earth.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical oversight and management of projects related to reactor design, fleet operations, and de-fueling and decommissioning warships.
  • Collaborate with a team of experts to research, design, and develop new nuclear reactor technologies.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safe operation of nuclear reactors and power plants.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to communicate technical information and provide guidance on nuclear reactor operations.
Requirements
  • U.S. citizen between the ages of 19 and 29 (exceptions may be possible up to age 40).
  • Graduate or current student pursuing a B.A., B.S., or M.S. in a relevant field (preferably mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry, or other technical areas).
  • Completed one academic year of calculus and one academic year of calculus-based physics.
  • A competitive GPA and a minimum grade of B in all technical courses.
