Mold Setter Job Description

At Randstad, we are seeking a skilled Mold Setter to join our team. As a Mold Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and operating injection-molding machines to cast products from thermoplastic materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality products.
  • Monitor machine parameters and gauges to ensure consistency of temperatures, pressures, and press-cycle times.
  • Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Position and secure molds in machines and make all required connections to operate tool safety.
  • Removal of tool from molding machine and prepare for next job.
  • Adjust equipment and work piece holding fixtures to ensure proper functioning.
  • Select and install end of arm tooling (EOAT) or other attachments for each operation.
  • Optimize process to reduce scrap and improve throughout.
Requirements:
  • High School education.
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
  • Manual lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Standing for 6 hours at one time.
