Job Description Summary

We are currently looking for a motivated Medical Assistant with excellent communication skills to join our team of nurses and providers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented ambulatory surgical center dedicated to providing exceptional patient care throughout their endoscopic procedures.

About the Job

This is a full-time position with no call, no weekends, and no major holidays. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work among our highly specialized team of nurses and providers, traveling between three endoscopy centers located throughout the Treasure Valley.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist the physician and procedure room nurse with any needs before, during, or after an endoscopic procedure.
  2. Performs care and maintenance of automated endoscope re-processors and GI endoscopes, including high-level disinfection.
  3. Collect and record patient data when assisting with admission, recovery, and discharge of patients within the endoscopy center, excluding physical assessment and IV start.
  4. Performs inventory and re-stocking of supplies used in the endoscope reprocessing, procedure room, and patient bays.
  5. Provide a safe environment for the patient.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Accepting applications from Medical Assistants, CNAs, or EMTs.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Computer experience.
  • Experience in gastroenterology preferred.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year based on location and experience.
