Overview:
In this role, you will collaborate with clients and potential clients to help them identify and secure a mortgage loan tailored to their unique financial situations, facilitating their journey towards home ownership. You will be responsible for acting on internal leads while also developing external sources to generate mortgage loan originations. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to nurturing relationships and soliciting first mortgages from real estate professionals, builders, accountants, attorneys, financial advisors, and other referral networks.

This is a full-time, commission-based career opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate referral sources to solicit first mortgages, ensuring a steady stream of origination volume. Maintain regular communication with real estate agents and participate in open house events. Engage with builders on-site to discuss lending options for their clients. Seek opportunities to connect with developers and participate in real estate-related events.
  • Gather and evaluate applicants' financial information at branch locations to assess their eligibility for loans. Conduct interviews to collect necessary details, including income, assets, debts, credit history, and property characteristics. Analyze clients' needs in relation to available financial products and recommend the most suitable options, explaining the associated risks and benefits.
  • Engage in persuasive sales activities tailored to individual clients, encouraging them to choose Fulton Bank for their mortgage needs while cross-promoting additional services and financial products.
  • Manage all aspects of the loans you originate, including obtaining and analyzing relevant financial and credit data. Ensure compliance with loan terms and maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the process to clarify any questions they may have.

Qualifications:
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).

Experience

A minimum of 4 years in residential mortgage lending (Required).

Proven track record of establishing referral sources outside of branch referrals to maintain a consistent flow of loan originations (Required).

Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain significant referral networks through external contacts and relationships (Required).

Other Duties:
This position may involve additional responsibilities as assigned by management. All employees are expected to understand and comply with company policies and regulations, including those related to compliance training and risk management.

Pay Transparency:
This position operates on a commission basis.
