Job Description:

As a Behavioral Support Specialist at Knox Community Schools, you will work closely with students and staff to provide emotional and educational support in an alternative learning class. Your role will involve maintaining classroom policies, providing academic support services, and collaborating with the teacher and other staff members to ensure the needs of students are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with significant social/emotional and behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with the teacher and other staff members to provide educational and emotional support
  • Maintain classroom policies and provide academic support services

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with some Post-Secondary Education preferred
  • Complete and pass background check
  • Previous experience working in an education setting preferred
