Job Title: Delivery Truck Driver

TRULAND Equipment, a leading John Deere dealer with 18 locations in Indiana and Ohio, is seeking a skilled Delivery Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating vehicles to transport equipment for the dealership, instructing customers on basic equipment operating procedures, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Transport equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities primarily using a rollback truck
  • Support the sales department with equipment delivery as needed
  • May assist the parts department with part order pickups
  • Maintain activity records and obtain necessary signatures and receipts
  • May offload semi-trucks as needed
  • Maintain all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA, and company policy
  • Accountable for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties
  • May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required
  • May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Maintain knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
  • Other appropriate responsibilities assigned by manager
Requirements:
  • 1+ years' experience pulling a gooseneck, tilt, or utility trailer; experience as a semi-truck operator is a plus
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
  • Experience in hauling irregular and oversized loads
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safe driving practices
  • Knowledge of proper load securement techniques
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Driving record that meets insurance company parameters
  • Ability to lift items weighing upwards to 75 lbs. repeatedly
