Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit team. As a Registered Nurse Fellow, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients requiring invasive cardiac monitoring and other medical or surgical diagnoses.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (prefer 2 years+ cardiac experience)
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing (ADN with completion of BSN within 5 years of start date)
- BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required, ACLS strongly preferred (must obtain within first 3 months)
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
- Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to display a caring demeanor towards others
- Proficient computer skills required
