Job Summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient dental condition and needs through thorough medical history review, dental charting, and perio charting.
  • Deliver direct patient care using established dental hygienist procedures, including cleaning and polishing, radiographs, and sealants.
  • Take patient vital signs and maintain accurate electronic records.
  • Document patient dental history and chief complaint, and record and report pertinent observations.
  • Teach patients proper oral home care and prevention techniques to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments, and complete treatment plans as prescribed by the dentist.
  • Review and explain treatment plans and associated fees with patients, and articulate patient concerns to the dentist.
Requirements
  • Must be present by 7:45am as clinic opens at 8am, with a strong commitment to reliability and punctuality.
  • Completed dental hygiene certificate program or Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene, with current Hygienist license for the state of North Carolina.
  • Ability to demonstrate independent thinking, exercise good judgment, and formulate, affect, interpret, and/or implement operating practices.
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork approach, initiative, dependability, and promptness, with frequent repetitive work requiring attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions, take responsibility for own actions, and exercise confidentiality with patients and patient care.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, procedure manuals, and written correspondence.
